Event Description

The Public Philosophy Network invites proposals for a Fall 2011 meeting on Advancing Publicly Engaged Philosophy. The conference will include a mix of formal and informal sessions on various issues in practical philosophy, including concrete projects and political problems as well as discussions of larger philosophical questions about how to engage in philosophical activity outside the academy.

We are currently accepting submissions from those who wish to participate in a workshop and be listed on the program as a participant.  (See the links under the tab "Public Phil conference" for workshop description and submission form).  Workshop participants will be expected to participate in discussion; no formal presentations will be allowed unless specific invitation has been made by the workshop facilitator(s).
