My scholarship focuses on intersections of epistemology, philosophy of language, and social and political philosophy. As a graduate student, I was active in Honolulu as a board member and officer of Pride at Work Hawai`i (P@W-HI), a constituent organization of the state AFL-CIO that promotes LGBT concerns within the labor movement and workers' concerns within the LGBT community. I also served as a member of a coalition of labor and community leaders in Honolulu, where, among other things, we worked to hash out what "good jobs" and a "healthy community" would look like in Hawai`i. My work with P@W-HI and the (People's) Alliance for Quality of Life greatly impacted my vision of philosophy and me as a philosopher. After earning my doctorate in 2011, I returned home to Scranton, PA where I now teach part-time with the department of philosophy.
