I have long been interested in the social implications of aesthetic appreciation and have published articles on environmental aesthetics that extend to the social environment. My latest book, Sensibility and Sense: The Aesthetic Transformation of the Human World, develops what I call "social aesthetics." This forms a powerful basis for social critique.
