I've been working on a collaborative project on Socially Relevant Philosophy of Science (SRPOS) since 2007, which has resulted in an APA mini-conference on "Making Philosophy of Science More Socially Relevant", a PSA workshop on "How Philosophers of Science Can Take Up Socially Relevant Roles", and a Synthese special issue that came out in December 2010.
