I believe that the future of the discipline hinges on a transgression of institutional boundaries, a collaborative effort to break out of the world of specialized texts to secure some greater relevance in the wider world beyond the time-honored precincts of the academy.

Welcome, Wesley! I agree with you about the future of the discipline. We'll always need great philosophers within the academy, but we need to find ways to break out of the ivory tower too. I hope that this virtual space becomes a place where you can find others interested in sharing work and doing collaborative research. Spread the word, and contribute as you can! Sharon
